Navigating the User Guide

You should be able to approach the User Guide as if you are reading a book, building on concepts as you read through it from top-to-bottom, left-to-right. However, you may also use it as a resource to tap into from time-to-time as you work with a feature, meaning that it is not critical for you to read through the contents in sequential order. Each topic was designed to stand alone.

Markers

Here are just a few icons we use to indicate, or mark, different types of information within the User Guide:

Indicates information you may want to note but is not critical to accomplishing a task.
Indicates a tip that may help you work more efficiently but isn't critical information to accomplishing a task.
Indicates an alert for critical information that may help you accomplish a task or prevent you from encountering a trouble spot.

Links

All hyperlinks are blue and most take you to other topics within the User Guide. There are a few links that require you to have an Internet connection—most notably links to microsoft.com.
